Schloss Lieser, is a castle that was built in 1875 by Baron von Schorlemer. The Schloss Lieser estate was founded in 1904. In 1997 Thomas Haag purchased the estate that has vines set on soft slate. This wine opens with aromas reminiscent of pear, white peach and lychee. There are flavors of Gravenstein apple, lemon/lime, Japanese pear, crushed rock and a wonderful mineral streak. What the wine does not possess in rich fruit flavors, it makes up in lively acid structure. (Best 2015-2022) - November, 2015 (OB)
