Tuesday, July 05, 2011 - Joh. Jos. Prum is a name that ranks among the top producers of Riesling in the Mosel. The 2006 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel is one example why. With its deep golden color, and complex aromas and flavors of crushed pineapple, nectarine, honey, slate, green tea and ginseng root. On the palate this is thick and layered with the perfect amount of acidity to balance it out and make it juicy and mouth-watering. This is absolutely delicious and mind-blowing right now, but will only improve with age as rieslings of this caliber are known best for. (Drink 2011 - 2040) - JD
