The 2008 Domenico Clerico Barbera d'Alba Trevigne may be the most delicious Barbera I have tasted from Clerico in recent memory. It is packed tightly with beautiful dark cherry and raspberry fruit along with floral, fresh mineral and even some hints of mocha and smoke. This has a really luscious texture with lip-smacking acidity and I love the silky refreshing finish. If you have never had a Barbera from Domenico Clerico, you should start with this one.
