Sourced from the estates oldest vineyard, the 2013 'Vigna Le Macchiarelle' Brunello reserve was aged for 36 months in French tonneaux followed by an additional 36 months in bottle prior to release. It begins with aromas of red cherries and plums followed by spices, forrest herbs, licorice and an earthy character. It possesses a medium body structured around fine, silky tannins which lead into the sleek finish. Readers should plan on allowing this at least another year or two of bottle age to develop.
