The 2014 Il Marronetto is absolutely fantastic and amongst one of the most compelling wines in this difficult vintage. It immediately begins to impress with inviting aromas of cherries and red berries which are woven together with fresh cut flowers, spices, herbs and hints of earthy mineral nuances all taking shape. Medium-bodied, with lovely fine-grained, silky tannins backed by a core of red fruits and spices that persist throughout. Balanced and refined, this gorgeous Brunello is drinking beautifully now and should go on to age gracefully for at least a decade.
