The 2014 Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino is refined and elegant. It begins with pretty aromatics of cherries, raspberries, orange zest and crushed stones stone. This medium-bodied Brunello displays nice structure with fine silky tannins that are nicely integrated. It shows nice length on the finish, as comes to an end red fruits and spices lingering. This is showing well at this early stage, however it should become even more compelling after a few years of bottle age.
