The 2015 Abbadia Ardenga Brunello di Montalcino ‘Vigna Piaggia’ begins with warm and enveloping aromas on the nose with hints of dried red plums, red flowers and ginseng root along with hints of coffee and black licorice adding further complexity. On the palate this possesses a medium to full body, with ripe and velvety tannins that lead up to the solid, precise and tailored finish. Overall this is an elegant and complex Brunello this is delicious today, yet should also age beautifully over the next decade and beyond.
