The 2015 Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino opens to a pretty aromatics of red plums, wild strawberries, dried flowers and green tea leaf which all take shape beautifully in the glass. The palate is medium-to full-bodied, with supportive tannins and a slight controlled reduction, as it heads into the luminous finish. While this is impressive today, it should become even more compelling after a few more years of additional bottle age.
