The 2015 Silvio Nardi ‘Vigneto Poggio Doria’ Brunello di Montalcino is a sensational showing. It instantly begins to impress with its aromas of cherries, sweet blackberries and lemon peel which underlined by burnt orange peel and sweet almonds in this pure Sangiovese. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous full-bodied texture that is well-extracted with ripe polished tannins that are beautifully integrated. It comes to an end with a stunning finish with a horizontal profile that resonates and slowly releases all its tension. This is a beautiful Brunello that is already quite impressive in its youth, but should also go on to have a marvelous future ahead.
