The 2015 Scopone Brunello di Montalcino is absolutely sensational in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromas of macerated black cherries, dried red plums and pine in a Brunello which is powerful on the nose and iconic in class and style. Full body, tenacious tannins with a yet rigid and firm setting and a taut and robust finish. This is outstanding now, but should be even more impressive with few additional years of bottle age.
