The 2015 Cava d’Onice ‘Colombaio’ is beautiful and well-articulated on the nose offering aromas of red plums, currants, raspberries and hibiscus flowers. There is a bohemian and distinctive nature of this red, which shows wonderful character and personality. On the palate this is full-boded, yet with rigid tannins with a fine and well-made nature and an eccentric quality leading up to the dynamic finish. Intriguing and interesting in its evolution, even at this youthful stage, this is a sensational Brunello that will have a wonderful future.
