The ‘Helichrysum’ Brunello di Montalcino from San Polino is fabulous effort that offers wonderful characteristics of black plums, blackberries, roasted coffee beans, ripe cherries and toasted hazelnuts. Beautiful tension, while remaining well-extracted and voluminous. On the palate this is full-bodied, with extremely ripe tannins thanks to the important vineyard work and a concentrated and compact finish that take this to another level. Muscular and high-impact. Excellent today, but should start to hit its stride in another year or two.
