This classy, elegant Brunello from Silvio Nardi comes from the Cru vineyard of Manachiara. It brings gorgeous aromas of dark cherries, blackberry, tobacco, mint, licorice and floral which burst from the glass. This offers a magnificent silky texture with excellent structure, finesse and precision. It’s well balanced with wonderful underlying acidity that provides lift as it heads into the long finish that carries on for minutes. The wine was aged 30 months in French and Slavonian oak and a year in bottle. This age worthy Brunello is just coming into its own, and with an hour or two of air contact this can be approached today, but ultimately this will be best after a few more years in the cellar.
