The La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino is absolutely outstanding in 2010, showing wonderful elegance and class. As this begins to open, dark cherries, plum, blackberries, sweet spices, fresh floral, mint and minerals all come together beautifully the glass. This medium-bodied Brunello is impressive for its structure, balance and gorgeous fine, silky texture. Although this is quite accessible today, the 2010 is certainly an age worthy wine that will benefit from additional bottle age. (Best 2017-2030) - March, 2015 (JD)
