The 2010 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino offers aromas of dark cherries, plums and mixed berries, along with leather, damp earth, hints of licorice and wild forest herbs which all come together beautifully in this excellent Brunello. Overall, this shows impressive structure, balance and finesse which leads up to the long, lingering finish. This should be capable of evolving for over a decade, and should begin to show its best stuff after another year or so in bottle. (2016-2027) - May, 2015 (JD)
