The 2011 'Vallocchio' is absolutely outstanding. It displays an opaque dark ruby color, followed by complex aromas of dried cherries and dark plums which are layered with sweet spice, floral, leather, dark chocolate and licorice. Full, rich and silky on the palate, with fine tannins and excellent overall structure and depth. It remains beautifully balanced and focused all the way through long, polished finish.
