The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino from Tenute Silvo Nardi slowly begins to open with inviting aromas of dark cherries and hints of dark plum woven together with spices, floral, leather and hints of zesty notes. On the palate this full-bodied Brunello is well structured around fine-grained tannins which expand beautifully onto the long, chewy finish. While this shows some early appeal, it will ultimately require a few more years of bottle age to flesh out. (2020-2029) - February, 2017 (JD)
