The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is an wonderful showing in this vintage from Casanova di Neri. This expressive Brunello offers gorgeous aromas of dark cherries and blackberries woven together with leather, exotic spices and touches of floral and dried soil all soaring from the glass. On the palate this displays a wonderful full, velvety texture with remarkable overall balance and depth. There are delicious flavors of dark cherries and dried spices which linger on the long finish. Overall, this is an outstanding Brunello, which is impressive now, but should also age gracefully over the next decade. (Best 2018-2030) - February, 2017 (JD)
