The 2012 Carpineto Brunello di Montalcino instantly opens to aromas of cherries and raspberries followed by wet stones, spices and hints of fresh cut florals. On the palate this is light to medium-bodied with ultra-fine, silky tannins leading into finish. This spent three years in Slovenian oak barrels, followed by a bottle aging period of at least six months. (Best 2017-2021) - February, 2017 (JD)
