The Pian Bossolino Cru sits high on the southeastern slope of Montalcino, just behind Biondi-Santi. The soils are comprised of mixed marl, large limestone and metamorphic composites and these mineral components reflect beautifully in the wine as it opens to fresh and inviting aromas of raspberries and red fruits woven together with minerals, exotic spices and subtle hints of tobacco. Balanced and silky, with ultra-fine tannins and a lovely spice tinged finish that lingers. Overall, this is a lovely Brunello which is impressive for its elegance and finesse.
