The 2012 'Pian delle Vigne' Brunello di is a lovely showing in his vintage as it instantly impresses with its inviting aromas of blackberries and cherries which are woven together spices, floral, leather and underlying balsamic notes. On the palate this possesses a well structured full body with a gorgeous texture that expands beautifully across the palate leading into the long finish marked by dark cherries and leathery nuances. Overall, this is an excellent Brunello, which is already showing extremely well and should continue to evolve over the next decade. (Best 2018-2030) - April, 2017 (JD)
