The 2015 Colonnello Barolo is another absolutely thrilling release from Conterno in this vintage. A rich and complex wine that reveals its essence gently with captivating aromas of red plums, wild strawberries, myrtle, licorice and fresh cut flowers. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous full-bodied texture, that is beautifully polished and compact at its core before ending with a precise, delicate and tailored finish. A wonderful balance of power and elegance, this is delightful now and hard to resist, however will need a few more years to fully express itself.
