The 2010 ‘Marcenasco’ is a terrific entry into Pietro Ratti’s range of Barolo. It opens with gorgeous aromas of freshly crushed strawberries, wild berries, smoke, licorice and citrus peel. On the palate it’s polished and well structured around silky tannins, ending with a very pretty finish. Certainly a 2010 that is on the softer side and can be approached early on.
