This Barolo comes from the "Capalot" area, south of La Morra hill, which consists of limestone soil with fine sands. The 2009 is impressive, delivering aromas of dresh cherries and sweetly ripened berries, which come together with dried floral, spices, stony minerals and hints of vanilla, fresh herbs and licorice. It shows excellent balance and focus with nicely integrated tannins and a silky polished texture that takes you into the pretty finish. This should continue to show well over the next decade.
