The 2011 Campè Barolo from La Spinetta delivers wonderful aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries joined together with dried floral, eucalyptus and hints of citrus peel which all come together the glass. This possesses an amazing structure with a beautiful polished texture along with excellent depth. It continues to impress with its lovely balance and focus while showing incredible length on the chewy finish. The Campè is a brilliant effort from Giorgio Rivetti in 2011, but additional bottle age will be required for age worthy Barolo to mellow out and develop its secondary characteristics.
