In 2011 the Barolo Gattera is a lovely effoet, offering aromas and flavors of cherries, plum, spices, floral, leather and a hint of licorice. Beautifully balanced and textured, with lovely polish and round mouthfeel. The finish is layered with sweet plum and spices that carry on and on. Will be better in a year or two, but should continue drink well for about a decade. (Best 2016-2026) - July, 2015 (JD)
