The 2012 'Casina Nouva' is sourced from the estates younger wines in the Ravera cru. As youthful Barolo this begins to open it offers pretty aromas of ripe strawberries and red berries woven together with spices, minerals and an orange peel character. This is well structured and defined with a lovely fine texture and wonderful balance through the mineral laced finish. This should continue to take shape in bottle and drink well over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2016 (JD)
