The 2012 ‘Le Sabbie dell’Etna’ is a delicious blend of 80% Nerello Mascalase and 20% Nerello Cappiccio from the sandy, volcanic soils of Etna. It immediately opens with enticing aromas of red berries, vanilla, sweet spices, smoldering ashes and minerals. It has a gorgeous silky, yet firm texture that is supported by a nice underlying minerality, which is all wrapped up with a long juicy finish.
