FRANK CORNELISSEN 'Contadino' 2013

The Contadino is a field blend consisting of mostly Nerello Mascalese (85 to 90%) along with other local varietals such as: Nerello Capuccio, Allicante Boushet, Minella nera, Uva Francesa and Minella bianco. It delivers exotic aromas and flavors of raspberries and cranberries along with moist earth, wet minerals, cola, fresh floral, black tea and ash with its vibrant personality. This light to medium-bodied blend is, nicely structured with fine tannins and lovely acidity. As unique and interesting as this is one the nose, it is equally as pure on the palate.
