The 2013 ‘Gallina’ is a refined, traditional style of Barbaresco. As this slowly begins to unwind in the glass it releases aromas of strawberries and red berries along with floral and crushed stones all taking shape. On the palate this continues to impress as it demonstrates excellent structure, supported by fine-grained, drying tannins, which linger elegantly on the finish. I expect this will evolve beautifully with a bit more time in bottle, and become even more compelling as it picks up some additional aged characteristics. (Best 2019-2028) - October, 2016 (JD)
