The 2010 La Crena is a gorgeous single vineyard Barbera from Vietti, bursting with bright cherries and dark raspberries followed by anise, smoke, tar, crushed floral, dusty minerals and subtle hints of dark chocolate. This possesses wonderful vibrancy, as well and fantastic balance and structure. The fruit explodes and lingers on the long finish long juicy finish. This is certainly delicious now, but give it some time to evolve in bottle. A superb effort from Luca Currado. (Best 2016-2025) - March, 2014 (JD)
