An outstanding showing, the 2012 Baffonero is a layered, full-bodied expression of 100% Merlot from Maremma. It offers seductive aromas of blackberries and dark cherries woven together with spices, leather and hints of tobacco all coming together. This is well-balanced with remarkable depth as it expands beautifully onto the finish. Today this is already showing well, but should also evolve nicely over the next decade.
