The 2012 Poggio Stella Vino Nobile di Montepulciano begins with fresh aromatics of cherries and dried berries, spices, leather and walnut along with hints of tobacco and fresh cut florals. On the palate this is medium-full and beautifully textured, with silky tannins and a lovely core of red fruits and spices, as it shows excellent balance through the finish. This is drinking remarkably well right now.
