The 2019 Ripasso Valpolicella opens with fresh aromas of wild cherries and red berries which are laced with licorice, chocolate shavings, baking spices and fresh cut florals. This is beautifully structured with a wonderful layer of underlying acidity providing freshness and keeping everything in balance. Excellent today, but I expect this to continue to evolve with another year or so in bottle.
