The 2020 Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore begins with inviting aromas of sweet cherries and plums which are laced with tobacco, dried berries and a mineral character. On the palate this is medium-bodied and balanced with a lovely round, velvety texure backed leading into the finish. This is a fantastic Ripasso that is delicious today but should handle a decade of cellaring.
