The 2018 Chianti Classico delivers aromas of dark cherries, plums, spices and leather with hints of licorice and tobacco all taking shape as this unwinds in the glass. On the palate this is medium-full bodied with velvety tannins and nice underlying acidity. Flavors of dark cherries, spices and licorice remain persistent through the finish. Overall this is a well made wine which should continue to drink well over the course of the next decade.
