The 2017 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Lamole' is a wonderful showing in this vintage. This Chianti bursts open with profound aromas of dark cherries and plums, which are laced with herbs, fresh cut florals, spices and hints of leather. On the palate, this is very well structured with a fine, silky texture, showing beautiful balance and finesse as it heads into the long, pretty finish. This is already offering so much, however there should become even more compelling as it ages gracefully over the next decade.
