The 2017 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Panzano' opens to fresh and inviting aromas of cherries and dark berries woven together with minerals, exotic spices and tobacco. Balanced and silky, with soft tannins and a lovely spice tinged finish that lingers. Overall, this is a lovely Chianti which is impressive now and should also evolve nicely in the cellar over the next decade.
