The 2008 Mazzei Ser Lapo is outstandnig, loaded with gorgeous fresh blackberries, black cherries, spring floral, vanilla and toasted oak emerge from the glass. Silky and firm with fresh dark fruits lingering on the finish. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot aged 12 months in small French oak barrels. (Drink 2012-2020) - April, 2012. (JD)
