The 2006 Chianti Classico Riserva is a stunning wine which brings aromas of ripe blackberries, plum, earth and a wonderful savory character. Impressive for its finesse, silky texture and balance and a finish that is long, caressing and supple. This is a wonderful showing, which is drinking beautifully today and should contunue to do so for the next 6-10 years. Composed of 80% Sangiovese along with 8% Teroldego, 7% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon which spent 18 Months in French oak. This is the first vintage consulted by Stèphane Derenoncourt.
