CORTE SCALETTA Valpolicella Superiore 2011

The 2011 Corte Scaletta Valpolicella Superiore is a dazzling effort from winemaker Giulia Cavedini. This has a wonderful elegance, but with plenty of depth and focus. The aromas of sweet blackberry, wild cherry, tobacco, dusty minerals and exotic spices burst from the glass. The fruit is ripe with beautifully polished tannins while demonstrating remarkable structure and finesse all the way through the long finish. This was an incredible discovery for me and it won’t be long before the wines from Corte Scaletta are in high demand. (Best 2015-2027) - June, 2014 (JD)
