The 2016 Castel del Monte Riserva ripe and fresh, with crushed red berries, sweet plums, wild herbs, tobacco, sweet spices and hints of chocolate licorice. It possesses a gorgeous soft, velvety texture which is kept lively with a wonderful touch of acidity through the fresh finish. A wonderful wine to approach now.
