The 2010 ‘L’Amarone’ is a wonderful showing, offering beautifully ripe dried dark cherries and blackberries and raisin, woven together with spices, chocolate dustings, licorice, dried sage and crushed stones. On the palate this impresses with its wonderful rich velvety texture and impeccable overall balance. It makes a seamless transition onto the beautiful plush finish that lingers on an on. This evolves and becomes even more expressive with extended air contact and I expect it to continue to so do over the next decade. A fantastic showing from Buglioni’s young, talented winemaker Diego Bertoni. (Best 2018-2029) - April, 2016 (JD)
