The 2017 Montevertine Rosso is composed mainly of Sangioveto along with a touch of Canaiolo and Colorino, and it is absolutely stunning in this vintage. It instantly begins to impress with its striking aromatic bouquet, offering nuances of fresh raspberries and black cherries woven together with dried violets, dried soil and herbs. The palate is fresh, precise and vibrant with remarkable purity and balance through the finsih. While this can be approachable today, it also shows incredible promise for a wondeful future ahead and will continue evolve over the next decade and beyond.
