The 2005 Rocca di Castagnoli Stielle brings aromas and flavors of blackberries, dark cherries, spicy cedar, anise and some subtle hints of tobacco and mint leaf that lead to a full body, with round, silky tannins. The finish is ultra-long and chewy, but gets a bit hot. Composed of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. (Drink 2012-2019) - June, 2012. (JD)
