The 2011 'd'Alceo is an outstanding showing from Castello dei Rampolla. This alluring red displays an impressive dark, opaque color with gorgeous aromas of ripe black fruits, floral, graphite, smoke and spices all bursting from the glass. Full-bodied and beautifully balanced with remarkable structure and depth all the way into the long, expansive finish. Overall the 2011 d’Aleco is a completely compelling wine which is already quite expressive, nonetheless it is still an age-worthy wine which will be best after a few more years of bottle age.
