The 2013 Giodo is a gorgeous effort from one of Tuscanys most accomplished enologists, Carlo Ferrini. This wine dazzles with pretty aromas of dark cherries and wild berries along with spring floral, sweet spices and eucalyptus notes emerging from the glass. On the palate this is elegant and refined, showing wonderful structure and balance with fine, silky tannins and a beautiful touch of acidity which carries over onto the long finish. A lovely showing and should only become more complex as it evolves over the next few years. (Best 2018-2027) - April, 2016 (JD)
