The 2009 Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo displays ripe blackberry fruit, exotic spices, pepper, earth, smoke, cedar and floral. This has a really pretty fresh and clean character that makes you keep coming back for another sip. The finish is long and refined. The 2009 blend consists of Sangiovese and Merlot and is probably the best Crognolo since 2004. (Drink 2012-2019) - August, 2012 (JD)
