The 2017 Rosso di Montalcino opens with inviting aromas of fresh red fruits, crushed flowers, herbs, mint and tobacco that all come together beautifully in this pretty Rosso. On the palate this is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins which lead to a core of ripe red berries and spices that work through the vivid finish. Fantastic now, but it should become even more appealing as it fleshes out in bottle over the next year or two. Overall, this is a lovely Rosso which is drinking beautiful upon release, but should also evolce nicely with a few years of bottle age.
