The 2008 'Passopisciaro' is a excellent Nerello Mascalese made in an elegant, yet rustic style. Aromas of cherries and plums are layered with notes of scorched earth, spices and some smoky minerals. This is a gorgeous wine and the tannins are so silky and pure ending in a clean, fresh finish. (Best 2013-2022) - September, 2013 (MD)
